Privacy Policy

Hygrometer collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDK, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is sent to me, and there is no server of mine for it to be sent to.

Location

If you allow it, the app reads your device location to work out which weather to fetch. The coordinates are used for that request and to name the place you are in, and are kept on your device — in the app's own storage and in the shared container its widgets read. They are never transmitted to me, and never sold or shared with anyone.

You can refuse location access and still use the app: search for any city by hand instead. Access can be withdrawn at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Weather data

Readings come from Apple Weather (WeatherKit). To answer a request, Apple receives the location the request is for. That exchange is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not mine — see Apple's data sources and legal information. I never see those requests.

What is stored on your device

• The most recent weather reading, so the app and its widgets can draw something immediately.
• Your preferences: temperature unit, appearance, language, and any city you chose by hand.
• Nothing else. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the effective date above changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be about how that stays true.
